Using the Search function to access a database and retrieve documents on LawVisionPk.
You can access your desired legal proposition in the form of commentaries, case decisions (judgments) and statutes by typing into the search engine window any law keyword or phrase. If you wish to search for an entire phrase or the name of an act you can always place the same into inverted commas to make the search more specific.
For example if you are
searching for Penal Code 1860 you can either just type in the window: Penal
Code without any inverted commas. As a result you will access documents, which
might have Penal and Code written in different documents and locations.
If however you choose to write
“Penal Code 1860” in inverted commas it is likely that you will locate the
whole Act or parts there of in the early results of the search.

Terms and Connectors Searching:

The Terms and Connectors search
method allows you to enter a query consisting of key terms from your issue and
connectors specifying the relationship between those terms. For example during
search compound word may appear as one word, as a hyphenated word, or as two
separate words. If your search term is a compound word, try using its
hyphenated form to retrieve all variations.

Use the following connectors to
specify the relationships that should exist between search terms in your
retrieved documents.

Use the AND connector to search
for documents that contain both terms, for example, Nikah AND Khula .
·
Use quotation marks ("
") to search for documents that contain terms appearing in the same order
as in the quotation marks, for example, "Supreme Court Judgment".
