The Bank may require any Corporation with which it has any transactions under S. 17 to furnish returns [referred to in] sub-section (3) of section 36, and if it does so require the provisions of sub-sections (6), (7) and (8) of section 36 shall apply, so far as may be to such Corporation as if it were a scheduled bank. ...
